Desperate
Don't make me hold on anymore
Please
Let me let this go
So I can breathe
You're keeping the oxygen
From entering my lungs
I can't keep holding my breath
Nearly had enough
So don't make me carry this
Can't handle such heavy weight
I've been lifting it so long now
My chest is about to break
This heart is dying to fly
A momentary escape
And I can't exist in chaos
Where I'll only deteriorate
If the knife is going to slice me
Then just bring on the blade
I want relief too much to care
Too desperate to be afraid
Tortured with the unknowing
I've got to get out of these chains
Internal confusion growing
Free my heart from what remains
Please

Indeed. I've definitely experienced that before, not at all a good place to be and tough to get out of.
It's crazy what inspired this, just the intense emotion associated with an extremely strong, drawn-out need to know something of great significance. It hit me hard so I just let the words flow and take me where they did.

I really like this one. I can really relate with my current situation. I think you could possibly be an inspiration to me. Thanks for your input on my poem earlier. It meant a lot.
