Memories and salvation
As I walked through the halls,
Of a now forgotten memory..
The floor crumbles away from underneath me.
Slowly my thoughts are coming back,
All the pain, all the beatings..
I'm caught dead in my tracks.
I wear my scars with pride,
For sure..
But it seems the love I never got,
Was my one and only cure.
Your hand reaches out from the ceiling,
Picking me up and saving all that is left.
As I wake, I feel your breathing on my neck.
I wonder if I'm still dreaming.
