Glass house
You hide in your corner, in your glass box, alone.
Shivering you can't bring yourself to do what you know is long over due. A library book with a very large fine, but no money to pay it back. You hear the bangs from the outside, your heart racing in fear.
"Why won't they leave me alone? I'm safe in my place, in my crystallized box."
You've been in that box for a very long time, your stay supposed to be temporary. But now you are hidden, safe from the truth. No longer trying to smile, giving up and in. Letting the glass house that's become your home, take over, becoming you.
Why do they not understand that you're doing this for the best of them? You're shielding your feelings, blinding your hurt, covering it all with pounds of dirt. Sheltered in your little glass hole, filled with darkness, the pain to real.
Little pills scattered on the floor, coloring crayons and a worn down silk. you lay in that corner, scared and hurt, wondering why, you feel so alone.
Why the metal taste corrodes your mouth, why blood drys into crust. Picking at old scars creating some new, trying to be strong the banging getting to you. You hear the glass house shatter, the foot steps bang, the crying gets louder, driving you insane.
The hot hands crease your cold cheeks.
They now try to save you, but now it's a little to late.
