Jeweled Dark Eyes

Every grain of sand is counted and known,

It is precious and has purpose on earth,

but I am lost, being counted into two jeweled dark eyes

There is a red river flowing somewhere on wine darkened distant shores

and the moon always shines brightest on furthest banks of the riverside,

but I am lost, out of time, out of mind under your spell, searching for somethin extra in life,

and somewhere in my journey,  I have come to understand

True to life, is the girl with two jeweled dark eyes,

And I know, she should always be with me,

I was a stranger here, and I was a stranger there,

I was lost out of time, and cursed with different tongues,

Every night when the sun goes down, I fear the dark without your silent sunlight, I am left bruised and forlorn,

Every woman I was talking too, she was never familiar with me,

All fell short from the glory of your words, and, your dark jeweled eyes,

Give me shelter again and again, invite me with your jeweled dark eyes

Somewhere, along the wine dark, red river shores

is my girl with jeweled dark eyes
