Searching Evermore
Her teeth are sharpened,
Just to make a point,
She longs to lay around,
Just to smoke a joint.
The things she longed for,
Quickly pass her by,
Each passing glance is such a goddamn bore,
The stagnancy makes her want to cry.
She knows she needs more,
The cruelty that flows in her veins,
The blackness within her chest,
That grows when it rains.
She treads the streets,
Looking for those familiar eyes,
She’s no closer to finding,
Them, The city fills her with its lies.
She’s misguided,
She’s fodder for life's marksmen,
She’s given all it’s demanded,
He’s out there yet divided,
As dangerous as a bears den,
And searching for her evermore.
Just to make a point,
She longs to lay around,
Just to smoke a joint.
The things she longed for,
Quickly pass her by,
Each passing glance is such a goddamn bore,
The stagnancy makes her want to cry.
She knows she needs more,
The cruelty that flows in her veins,
The blackness within her chest,
That grows when it rains.
She treads the streets,
Looking for those familiar eyes,
She’s no closer to finding,
Them, The city fills her with its lies.
She’s misguided,
She’s fodder for life's marksmen,
She’s given all it’s demanded,
He’s out there yet divided,
As dangerous as a bears den,
And searching for her evermore.
