The Love Dagger
Look at the Magnificent view
That shines much brighter without you
This time i'm through
I'm done
Time to get sober
And realize it's over
You see,
this endless cycle just isn't for me
Now I'm setting my self free
And being who I'm supposed to be
These permanent scars
That are fused to my heart
Are a constant reminder of what you aren't
All those sacrifices I made
Should have been saved
For someone that deserves my heart
But instead
You took what I gave
and slowly tore it apart
In the end
who else is to blame other than me?
I was too blind to see
the dagger behind me
held by the one I thought I loved
That shines much brighter without you
This time i'm through
I'm done
Time to get sober
And realize it's over
You see,
this endless cycle just isn't for me
Now I'm setting my self free
And being who I'm supposed to be
These permanent scars
That are fused to my heart
Are a constant reminder of what you aren't
All those sacrifices I made
Should have been saved
For someone that deserves my heart
But instead
You took what I gave
and slowly tore it apart
In the end
who else is to blame other than me?
I was too blind to see
the dagger behind me
held by the one I thought I loved
