Angel Without Wings
Angel walking backwards
Knows just how
To make you believe
She creates paradise
In a flash of fingertips
She is a heaven All her own
With a twist of torment
Innocent eyes
And a wicked mouth
Takes you to your knees
But not to pray
She is holy
She is hell
Her music pours when
Softer strings are strummed
In your pocket
In your bed
You love to hear her sing
Angel kneeling
Taking you to places
Saints dare not imagine
A smile for the sinner
Who drags you down
With her lips
What a study
In sweet contradiction
Sacred prayers
And sacrificed will
You take her and beneath
Your weight
She flies.
