Dawn's Love Song
A craving like the blooming blossoms
thirst for morning dew.
A need that keeps the mountains still
for what wonders they fear of missing
if they just so happen to move.
The sun reaches his beautiful stretch
across the vast for the calming moon,
not because he wants to posses
but rather caress
her cheek a midnight glow.
Taken by this undertow,
I yearn for a need that I do not know.
For what is air if I haven't yet breathed a breath?
Submerged in my longing with a timetomb ticking
a heartbeat rythme is kept.
How can I miss a stranger,
one of which I have never met?
I know the sun on my skin and the love song he sings.
Each morning I let it sink in.
And with this breath, I'll breathe it best,
now knowing it's time to begin again.
