    ponder'cross     an
                  other      vapid
                         up
                        date,      a
                                sou'swee
                                f'lavor
                 notknown
                    un til
        a possible tomorrow be
                              comes  an
                                    other day
                             like no
other
                   everwas /  a
                            back
                         flash-a-day
        to         thee old apart
                         ment,old neigh
                              borhood,thee
                         newer oldworld,
        where the
                smokes were good tasty fuming
             out from humanflesh
        in ever y window,on
             every  front stoop,backyard,emptylot /&
       'the local'    came to stop    at 4thAve25st
          on it's way  Into The City
                                swallered underground
                                      rail'a'way
                                like in 1961....

        Maris & Mantle now both very dead, ( &
             where be thy little friends,
                        dannyegghead?)
                    as
                    be
        most all the folk eye saw & knew whilst
                 lookin'round
                        about
    for     no thing    in any partic'ular sense------
         all
       thee olde folks gone to ghost to no thing or
                somewhere in they dear old happy
                                           heaven,
      & gone we've gone
                       indeed
