The Broken One

She gets by day by day,
She tries to not say words of hate, but when does speak no one really pays attention.
No one listens as she cries herself to sleep at night.
She is the broken one.
She wipes her tears away because no one is there to do it for her,
Never wants to get in anyone's way so she stays invisible.
She doesn't believe she's beautiful as she looks at her reflection,
She is the broken one.
She loved as love was her worst enemy, leaving her with scars as she carries on and tries to love again, but it seems as though it couldn't ever be possible.
She never looks for sympathy just a friend,
Someone who could stick by her till the very end.
She is the broken one.
Takes a pill to make the pain go away, but it just seems to stay.
Tries to block out memories of mommy fighting with daddy as she could remember hearing glasses breaking, seeing fists flying, suffering as daddy was making mommy cry whenever he would lie.
She escapes reality to come into fantasy as her imagination was her only out let.
She is the broken one.
She wanted to belong, but she'd get looked at like she was something wrong.
She was never understood just was told that she is stupid and useless that she can't do anything right.
Late at night she'd toss and turn as she would wonder if he really loved her.
She could never cry in front of someone because she knew it was weakness in their eyes,
She is forced to feign a smile.
She is the broken one.
She feels like the loneliest person in the world,
She is the girl that ends up being forgotten,
She is a distant memory to most.
No one seems to care whether she's there or not,
no one dares to give a lending hand and even when they do they just expect something out of it.
She is the broken one.
She is done with the heart ache,
She is tired of everyone trying to break her,
She can't take anymore hurt.
