The gain of loss

You say you want to be with me,

While you're with him,

Just how truthful can what you say be,

The chances are very slim,


You say I don't love you anymore,

That couldn't be further from being true,

I feel the same as I did before,

The one who should doubt is me, not you,


I didn't want any of this to come to pass,

But I regret nothing and learned a lot,

I still love you though and didn't want this to happen but alas,

I have to move on and work with what I've got,


The experiences I've had outwiegh the pain,

But this proves to me even loss holds something to gain.
