What is death taking

What is death taking
if an energetic body must diffuse
still, whatever lack of energy reeks
somehow chaos calms and soothes

We can't refuse corrosive matter
it consumes us everyday
we are the God people in an acid medium
we are the culture of putrid slaves

And my life is the process of decay
my feeble mind invites all aspects of disease
because the weak are so readily devoured
this state of being is the dinner call; let them feed

Those sick pay no mind to grief
it is karma that determines how much in life we lose
the satisfaction is what death takes or leaves behind
therefore, it is the higher state of consciousness that I choose
