Life Among the Humans

It was long ago I fell to earth
smashed down unharmed
far from the planet of my birth

Easy to blend in with the norm
bipedal hominids, faces the same
the galaxy's most common form

I neither breathe, eat, or sleep
no fluids in my ultra dense body
means I can't bleed, sweat, or weep

My body built for war but not here
the earth people are so frail
so weapons they hold quite dear

Primitive monkeys with fear evokes
so proud of their technology
but really stellar insignificant jokes

My race get banned to this rock
no way to leave or return home
without flight cursed to walk

My crime was my refusal to fight
endless wars on Venusian moons
repelling Martian hordes each night

To usurp you planet we could do
for barely you can do us harm
Establish our own theocracy new

But we mostly live out quiet lives
far from the noise of your cities
our biology incompatible for wives

Revealing ourselves would be shocking
with news of lives immortal
your need of study endless talking

I think to aid you but I can't
your lives so chaotic and short
Does the boot heel help the ant?

For some partake the consideration
but are shortly shunned and feared
for we emit toxic radiation

On a distant peak I sit alone
on a great chair I carved from stone
Ruler of no one before my lonely throne

Look not to me to be your hero
saving this and rescue that
My contributions sum total zero
