Spring Haiku
March marks their return.
My apartment on the park
Is rediscovered.
Unrest in the nest!
Wings clatter in the rafters
Throwing out old sticks.
Busy spring Starling,
But his beak brings twigs too big
To fit the eave hole.
Chirping from above,
Eggshells on my windowsill,
Clues to a new brood.
