Catfish

He who lurks in murky waters
Fails realize how he truly falters...

Away.
Hidden in a safe dark place.
-Perhaps

But alone in the end
When life's travels are spent.

Who will you turn to...
Cursed and Clever Catfish
Of the web surfed seas?

Reveal yourself to me...
Or forever let me be.

Who will you turn to
When not a single soul knows you?

So many faces you've taken on.
What a life you could live
If you'd just choose one.

So many times you've abandoned ship
And allowed men to drown in your waters...

Murky Waters.
Trails of decete left in the sand.
So many identities logged in by your hands.

I search in darkness for your face...
A treasure left to be misplaced.

I ponder your fall from grace;
What wanders and plunders took you
To this cruel and unusual place?

Nothing is ever what it seems in your sea.
What kind of Catfish-tale of terror
Goes on behind the scenes?

Do you bleed like me?

Do you hurt like I hurt?

Do you keep a morsol of a soul
Beneath the scales that gleam?

Why do you hide there
Sending masks to do you bidding?

Why do you lurk there
In your waters so concealing?

I pray a hide tide will come...
Wash away the stain.

I pray a current will bring you back
To what is reality again.

Walk away now.

Lurk further no longer.

I have seen the catfish's lare
And my heart beats past falter.

Walk with me with one identity...
And I will claim you clean.

Walk with me onto dry land...
Take a true stand in the sand.

Take my hand
And own yourself...

Before the catfish claims you.

Take my hand
And walk with me...

Let your true self guide you.
