Frank the Thirsty

I am Frank’s liver
A prisoner,
Imprisoned in this collapsing vessel
Liquid fume after liquid fume,
Soaking the spirits reluctantly
Frank’s liver –a salubrious fundamental
Alcohol –my dangerous accessory

I am Frank’s conscience
Frank is no teetotaler,
But rather a dipsomaniac
[font=Times New Roman]An alcoholic athlete by the hands of me,
So he calls me his adversary
My vessel –the substance abuser
Frank’s conscience –the insobriety

I am Frank’s victim
The rampant collision of vehicles,
Abysmal and silencing
The burst of an eardrum,
With an after ringing
Between the two drivers only one is a casualty
Of both his conscience and heart,
Frank is frankly the victim of that Duality
