Truth
Why can’t the world see?
It’s always on TV.
Yet we still don't hear
their plea,
Maybe we’re just too
busy with our new technology.
Or maybe we just don’t
care,
About the starving
people all the way over there.
And the lazy just sit in
their house and stare,
While millions are
crying in despair.
Women walk around with
their Gucci bags,
While there are other
women wearing only rags,
And they haven’t even
laid eyes on a price tag.
So many need help, so
why is America
so proud to wave its flag?
Truth is, there’re
people that would die to get their kid a shirt,
Or a bit of food to fill
their stomachs so it won’t hurt,
Or a house so they
wouldn’t have to live on the dirt,
Or maybe a little more
for their baby daughter than a ripped up top and skirt.
Truth is, it’s a damn
shame
That all people can do
is ignore it and place blame.
In this corrupt world
there will never be fair game.
So now that you know the
truth, the next move is yours to claim.
