Where were you when i needed you?
Where were you when my life began to fall apart?
When my eyes filled with tears and ran down my face every single night.
When my smile started wasting away.
When the thoughts in my head danced around the idea of suicide.
When the darkness in my heart soon took control.
When I came home to angry shouts and heavy fists.
When the sounds of whispers in the hallway became louder and louder.
Where were you that night when my cuts bled for hours?
When I needed a shoulder to cry on.
When I needed a person to just show me that they care.
Where were you?
Where were you when i realized that your promise was empty.
