Breathless Amusement
An airy explosion of fragile seams,
Downy white feathers blanketing dreams;
Melodious laughter, muffled screams,
Blunt barrages and hide-and-hit schemes.
Wiggling toes and blanket wraps,
Giddy squeals and forceful face taps;
Smothering victory, ensuring collapse,
Breathless amusement and now a hard-won nap.

Thank you. I've never been one to share my poetry, but recently returned to writing, so am giving it a shot, if for no other reason than to get it all out amongst like-minded folks.

Coralluna, this read was the perfect high for my day. It was playful, with wonderful rhyming, and filled with exuberance. This is the kind of poem which I love. I feel giddy and happy from your delightful words. ;-)
