time,
a hurricane,
selfish in its devastating path,
swooping through blurred faces and forgotten phrases,
leaving behind endless debris laced in gold,

leaving behind visions of us,

murmurs lacking depth slip from a spiked tongue uttering,
three words with the momentum of an avalanche,
casing me in false optimism - an early death,
I reciprocate with the absence of regret,
a future entity lurking in the depths of a naive mind,

the intense euphoria of early love,
hands held tightly connecting memories of confessions,
confessions echoing the beginning when my mind found yours,
a magnificent mind draped in the complexity of the Universe,
enclosed behind kind eyes,

your eyes glittered with the passion of an artist,
exhilarating eye contact raising my spirits beyond the stars,
lips whispering a promise lacking hidden poison,
your skin illuminated by the majesty of distant skies,
painted with dreamy clouds watching over engrossed lovers,

late night exchanges of harrowing secrets,
your soul dragging mine into a whirlwind of future grief,
yet it was I who deceived the gardens of the endless galaxies,
where impossibility nudged the shoulder of potential,
with the procuring of a noose to hang my future conscience,

poetry ran from your soft tongue to my hollow heart,
soothing the doubt digging into my mind,
for a week no longer did I truly feel beautiful,
and now I wear false confidence to conceal undying misery,
the misery of a future without you,

our bodies torn from midnight empathy,
a mutual sadness drawing us into the electrocution room,
false optimism an atrocity,
tears strewn down my unlovable face,
as I rewind through history to meet at dead-ends,

I'll never be loved again,

I'm so sorry,
but,
as I see you smile without me I am floating from the edge of a building to the pavement where my bones crumble beneath the pressure of persisting thoughts haunting me of a life without you.
