Stranger's Eyes

Through my eyes I see the shadow of a man.
Looking into his eyes makes me question everything I am.
A soul corrupted by demons within.
A man who lives his life in sin.
Hidden behind the green a fire burns.
Bursting through his pupils an evilness turns.
His eyes stare right through my essence.
Digging up all my painful trials and lessons.
A brief lock of the eyes feels like a lifetime.
Like this man has walked all the same lines.
Forcing me to confront all of my demons.
Feeding off my sorrow his only reason.
Gleaming with hatred directed at me.
Purposely flaunting it so I'm certain to see.
The disgust flows out like a faucets mouth.
Almost as he knows everything I'm about.
Sinister plots protrude from his eyes.
A stare that shows no part is a lie.
I stare at a man who wants to watch me break.
A man who knows my limits at all it can take.
Someone who knows internally I stand fragile and weak.
Someone who knows I'm on the edge of my seat.
Pulled in by his gravity I lean a little nearer.
Staring back at me is no stranger in the mirror.
