He's not you.

He won't have your big strong arms to hold me in at night,
And he won't have that beaming smile that can make any dark day seem bright,
He hasn't got your strange likeable quirks that used to make me smile,
And he hasn't got your fashion sense and your gentleman kind of style,
He doesn't like the movies and going on swanky dates,
And he doesn't find the need to join me whenever I'm out with my mates,
He can't tell me about all the different stars and planets like you used to do,
And he certainly can't make carbonara anywhere near as good as you!

But,

He will have the kindness to tell me when I'm looking good,
And he will say he loves me in front of others like a real man should,
He has got a sense of humour that you don't need to be careful around,
And he has got a caring heart the kind in you I never found,
He does give a damn when he notices I'm down,
And he does do silly things to cheer me up if he ever spots my frown,
He can find it within himself to stay loyal and faithful to me,
And he can talk about his future with me involved which you could never seem to see!
