wish the day away

For the last few months I dreaded this day
I knew it would hurt I knew I would cry
For two years ago today was the day you decided to be mine
And now your gone and I'm all alone
Your life full of adventure and happiness
As I work away my sadness trying to keep you out of my mind
Because I thought without you I would surely be blind
This day was the day I looked forward to for so long
But now I just wish it was gone
Out of my mind out of my heart
For now to this day we are apart
We tried our best and it didn't work
And now I'm left with all the hurt
For this day two years ago was the day you decided to be mine
