We'd Surely Drown

As the fields roll beneath the winds
Gracious like a butterfly
I stroll across to the end
Hardly knowing why

Such serene beauty
In the vast open space
Reminds me my accomplishments
Are the true race

You can push through your path
With no delays or second thought
Releasing such vile wrath
And smashing flower pots

Or you can stop and smell the rose
Enjoy it's natural wonder
Sweet scents within your nose
And prickly thorns that make you ponder

Just another obstacle
A bookmark for your life
A brand new reticle
For exploring your strife

With each challenge anew
We should not be brought down
But adopt another point of view
Otherwise we'd surely drown.
