I was never one to turn the other cheek
in my rebellious mind somehow
that translated into being weak
cause "baby,sometimes you gotta show folks
that you got some bull in your pasture"
Of all the things my granny said
this most shaped my MENTAL posture


just thinking on a few things
that happened back in my younger days
how a run in with a school bully
truly unleashed vengeful ways
Do me wrong! Grudgingly i'd play along
just so i could get even
hve you ever seen a pissed black woman
trust i'd raise more hell than a demon
...BUT when I was a babe
I thought as a babe
wiser I now know revenge
is just me falling on my own blade
older and wiser I realized
ALL that granny was trying to instill
always stand up for yourself
but use kindness to kill
no not the person :) lol
kill the situation, the negativity
to let kind words fight my battles
and move on with dignity


see,they will never see it coming
and won't know how to handle you
when you hit them with the unexpected
bully bullshitters get confused!
when they see they have no effect on you
merely dust brushed off your shoulder
ha ha! what's a puny rock
to an immovable boulder
its counterproductive to lower yourself
and stoop down to their level
instead show them how it's done
