~~ a lie with-in I die ~~

It was worse than fear today
Atop the terror through clattering jaw
nothing of the pain will lick our shame
smooth, marble statues with chiseled off faces
red forces covered with the drippings of strangers
 salted tears or lonesome rain
insight piercing screams and stifled groans
 presenting a veneer of tranquility
with a permanent hold...  a wealth of sores
Like the calm air and water in the eye of the storm
As the shell all around us bares a silence golden
with-in a sin covered canopy brightly adorned

                            -M
