I'm Depressed and Need To Vent inc.

If I were to kill myself,
I would make it look like a murder
Only to frame myself.
Some of you are probably thinking "that's stupid" or "that's insane."
It's so crazy and stupid
It makes Einstein look the fool.

Suicide victims are seen as ungrateful, crazy, cowardly, selfish, Jesus-less, disturbed, weak and loved.
In their head,
They are none of that.
What's in their head is all that matters.  
Some of them are just done:
Exhausted by the endless depression and/or pressure of life.
Some don't know what to do:
Lost in the void.
Some are tired of being strong:
Putting on a facade and/or dealing with all they have to.

There is one truth of all murder victims:
It was an untimely death.
The killed were either innocent or guilty:
A stray lamb that was unfortunately caught by the wolves' teeth and claws or a lost lamb that turned to a pact with this dark, dark world.
One was a victim,
The other was one who received justice.
Both are seen as more acceptable than a suicide victim.

Not wanting to be a coward,
A little kid,
Sitting in wonder:
Why should the person behind the bullet determine the view of the murder?

There is only one common truth of the victim:
It was an untimely death.
Why should the killer determine how the victim is seen?
The truth stays the same but the connotations are so different!

Why are they seen as weak or cowardly for doing something that you could never fathom of doing?!
They went through hell and back more times than not!
They could only be strong for so long!
They break, probably because of you, yet you blame them!

Like glass,
We all break eventually,
Just in different shapes and at different times.
Why should something more different be inherently wrong?

Why should the killer determine the victim's worth?
If we wish to punish them for murder, one of the worst crimes to commit,
Why give them the right to do something so vulgar and so important?

Those who have taken their own lives are both strong and weak,
Like how this idea is both stupid and crazy.
Such is venting.


Post Word/Author's note/The acceptably - and slightly encouraged - skip-able part: I usually don't do this and probably will never do it again, but I am going to explain this piece. The definition of a murder is the unlawful of killing a human, usually with some sort of premeditation. Suicide is the taking of one's life. I took the creative freedom to compare murder with suicide. Both involve the objectively non-rightful taking of a human life. Both can and usually do involve some sort of planning. Believe it or not, most suicides are premeditated. With all of these similarities, why are the two acts seen so differently? What are the differences of a murder and a suicide? How differently are they seen? Where does one's strength start and where does it change into weakness? Can a suicide victim even be called strong? Are depressed people strong or weak? Are depressed people victims or just pussies? Are suicide victims comparable to murder victims? Are suicide victims even victims? Should we blame people for killing themselves? That was the purpose of this vent/rant/poem. Whether it fulfilled that purpose is up to the reader. If you disagree with anything that I said here or in the poem, I would love to hear from you. Maybe your understanding of this piece is different. Maybe I angered you. Maybe I didn't cover things that should've or could've been covered. Maybe I said things that shouldn't have been said.
