Shapes of Sunlight Through the Leaves
Shapes of sunlight through the leaves,
An unfocused gaze of shards spring
Like sprinkling firework debris
Eyes closed in butterscotch warmth,
A smile of flame toned fringes
With dark Christ above our shoulders
Old hormone justice,
Scent of your hair in the breeze
Of this pinewood morning memory
And your draperies of night,
Award of all prior danger remembered
In the rigid pressures of our tactile prayer
And we contain in sheet covering diligence,
Woven in part woken freshness
Of this life without question
While your kiss taste tells of the safety
To experience joy and imagine everyone...
And now the exciting fright of any next thought
In our calm remaining solstice of youth and death.
An unfocused gaze of shards spring
Like sprinkling firework debris
Eyes closed in butterscotch warmth,
A smile of flame toned fringes
With dark Christ above our shoulders
Old hormone justice,
Scent of your hair in the breeze
Of this pinewood morning memory
And your draperies of night,
Award of all prior danger remembered
In the rigid pressures of our tactile prayer
And we contain in sheet covering diligence,
Woven in part woken freshness
Of this life without question
While your kiss taste tells of the safety
To experience joy and imagine everyone...
And now the exciting fright of any next thought
In our calm remaining solstice of youth and death.
