ill fitting mask
i can see by your smile,
that you lost everything.
sacfriced your soul
and gained only emptiness,
no sunlight lingers,
only frost
and hardened stone.
i don’t believe that tough man’s act,
that don’t mess with me pose,
your words are shaped from a cowards tongue,
trying to gain some comfort
for the lost child that lies within.
i think you need to climb a mountain,
and scream at the stars
and embrace the joy of the rising dawn.
i hope one day you’ll sleep with a girl that will be true,
and you will understand the true nature of beauty,
and not measure your existence in pounds shillings and pense.
that you lost everything.
sacfriced your soul
and gained only emptiness,
no sunlight lingers,

i don’t believe that tough man’s act,
