Happy Birthday
While I was,
In line,
To buy coffee,
I saw them,
Singing,
Happy Birthday,
To you,
Over there,
With a cake,
And candles.
I’m now back,
For a second cup.
I see your friends,
Have all left you,
To finish celebrating,
Alone.
May I buy you a coffee,
For your birthday?
Would you like,
Something from,
The snack case,
To go along,
With the coffee?
There is a candy shop,
Around the corner,
If you would prefer?
It IS your birthday,
You get to choose,
What you would like.
White chocolate mocha cappuccino.
And a peppermint brownie.
Here they are.
One more thing,
Here,
Use my phone,
Call your parents,
For a ride home.
Happy Birthday.
