Depression
Depression is a choice we make
No one can inflict it upon us
Were fated to make the same mistakes
When failing to see what's beyond us
Emotions are the tools we have
They are not a part of our being
They are the masters of the ones
Who stumble through life without seeing
But if you could calm the seas
And not be moved by every breeze
Then youl cure your minds disease
And reach the center of your being
Thoughts may tug you here and there
And suddenly catch you unaware
And repeatedly lead you astray
"Were only human" as they say
But one who masters their own mind
Has changed from human to divine
The lesser cares no longer blind
To one who sees the grand design
No one can inflict it upon us
Were fated to make the same mistakes
When failing to see what's beyond us
Emotions are the tools we have
They are not a part of our being
They are the masters of the ones
Who stumble through life without seeing
But if you could calm the seas
And not be moved by every breeze
Then youl cure your minds disease
And reach the center of your being
Thoughts may tug you here and there
And suddenly catch you unaware
And repeatedly lead you astray
"Were only human" as they say
But one who masters their own mind
Has changed from human to divine
The lesser cares no longer blind
To one who sees the grand design
