Silly old Shapes
Just think about where those words came from.
Deep in your heart and out your mouth.
Ideas and feelings expressed in shapes.
--think how beautiful that is.
Maybe I'm just high.
Let's act like we're in love.
"Do what makes you happy...
--You won't regret where you end up."
That's right. This high takes me somewhere else.
No need to defend your feelings babe.
I don't care anyway. It's still too soon.
I just wish you loved the same things as I do.
But you won't forget. Me either.
Damn. I keep forgetting what you said...
"You're the only friend I need."
I'm where I want to be too, dear.
Terrible things happening in the most graceful way possible.
Giving the optimist something to chat about.
Silent and smiling. I wiggle from under your arm.
Run and jump with me, friend.
Hold my hand. Feel the leaves sting our skin...please.
Just try and see what I do.
But you were tired. Let's go home.
We will talk about our shapes tomorrow.
Deep in your heart and out your mouth.
