Blanket

Blanket

I fucking can't get you out of my mind,

I don't know why,

But what I know is I breath just to find something.

Something like a spice in my life to stop the anxiety.

Something rad that won't trap me in a plastic bag.

Insomniac without doors to the outside world.

I fight like a warrior girl.

My tongue's sewn down,

And my heartbeat's surround sound.

I need comforting because I'm always lonely.

But you don't know that, you don't need that.

I'm sorry I couldn't be what you needed,

But you couldn't hold me either.

Disco balls in a plastic pool could light up a heart full of holes.

But it couldn't console you forever.

What I think is the stars rule over us.

No modern religion could ever fill my void.

You're all loitering for new toys.

You couldn't hold me if you wanted to.

Couldn't hold me, wrap me in a blanket.

With your cold, I'll spoil for good.

I'll let the voices consume me,

Til I'm no more.
