Do you feel me?
Or are we worlds apart?
Though eye to eye,
We seem distant at heart.

It's more like a waiting game,
Or maybe so I feel,
You're waiting for the chance to blame;
A perfect reason to kill.

Or I'm I simply forcing myself on you?
This whole thing is draining,
I'm simply not getting it through.

Your mood around me is discouraging,
Sometimes I feel like a pest,
Foolishly I incorrigibly
Try to put in my best.

In the face of your dwindling interest,
And your fading affection,
I turn and lie to myself,
But the fact is clear from your actions.

Trying to make a fertile ground
From a rocky heart of stone.

But if you're tired,
Why not say so and move on?
