Segregation
More and more I decide the drama is not worth the reward
I choose segregation.
I choose peace.
Yet they keep trying
And ripping
And mocking
And they think that somehow I will care again
What can I say.
There is no more
I love and it gets broken
Death comes to take it
Life comes to break it
And the gods come down to tear it from my arms
Whilst humanity snicker and laugh at the losses
That I seem to collect with every step
There is no more.
I am broken now.
I can’t love any more.
Except for him,
And when he steps into my space
I am forever reminded
That this is a love that I can never have
And that we were broken
By ourselves and others
And sometimes things just can’t be fixed
And that will never actually be okay.
This is my journey though.
And I’m walking it.
I don’t need your help
Or validation
I just need segregation.
I choose segregation.
I choose peace.
Yet they keep trying
And ripping
And mocking
And they think that somehow I will care again
What can I say.
There is no more
I love and it gets broken
Death comes to take it
Life comes to break it
And the gods come down to tear it from my arms
Whilst humanity snicker and laugh at the losses
That I seem to collect with every step
There is no more.
I am broken now.
I can’t love any more.
Except for him,
And when he steps into my space
I am forever reminded
That this is a love that I can never have
And that we were broken
By ourselves and others
And sometimes things just can’t be fixed
And that will never actually be okay.
This is my journey though.
And I’m walking it.
I don’t need your help

I just need segregation.
