The Devils Lair
Deliberately, I cut through the membrane
Separating me from you.
I am scared of what I might find,
But I miss you so much!
You have been on the other side for so long,
And I could feel you there the entire time.
Every little movement,
For as long as I can remember.
Once I have made it through,
I discover nothing new.
You look exactly like me.
You have the same thoughts.
There is disillusion and emptiness behind your eyes,
Just like mine.
You are a mirror,
The reflection in the water,
And i am Narcissus,
Lapping you up eagerly.
I look above us and see the same sky.
You are hollow and broken, just like me.
I am so happy that somebody understands me.
But imagine my horror!
Can you imagine it?
Sleeping next to The Devil every single night,
And not even knowing it.
