Sunset

It’s crazy how quickly such a beautiful sunset can end,

Just like how my normal teenage life never began

They all stare because they know I am on drugs,

And all they can say is "she’s exactly like the rest of all the wannabe thugs."

But they couldn’t be more wrong, it’s crazy,

My life is not about catching butterflies and picking fucking daisy’s

How is it possible to be so ignorant

Usually their thoughts about me are insignificant

The fact that they think I’m so damn stupid as if I were three

But really that’s just as far as the judgmental human eye can see

You see, they just don’t quite get it

They think it is as simple as just never taking another hit

But really there is much more to it, the fact that it consumes your brain

When getting high isn’t fun anymore, all it does is cause pain

An addict since day one

Oh how my normal teenage life has never even begun.
