Rex Purgatorio
Damned
from the very beginning
cast away to wander
dark solitudes
and fractured horizons
Horrors countless and
infernal councils
waving leafs of parchment
bearing my shames
read allowed to assembled shadows
bent with hollow laughter
Weeping stones and writhing fires
fed on teeth and bones
of desolate dreams
Pre-ordained and pre-destined
foretold through unseen eyes
across undocumented eternities
Derelict angels swinging
in drunken pendulum motion
I am criminal
Black-clad Vagabond King
Keeper of the rusty rails
and hobo wastelands
lingering somewhere between
heaven and hereafter
Nodding sentinels
granting entry to my plagues
"Kah K'la Kah K'la
So'No Tula Ka K'la"--
the battle hymn of rats
sounding from rectal trumpets
and cervical flutes
This is only a short stint
a pale reflection
of an aborted serenade
begun under a different sun
This reckless pageant
of twice-bewildered souls
Mirage of a hollow throne
and an oscillating crown
of opulent decay and
blistering majesty
The earth must be cleansed
by fire
by water
by blood
the land brought to a cinder
and spaded-over for new growth
hell raised up
heaven brought low
Abraxas made manifest
a crowned avatar
sexy strutting amongst the ruins
Out of balance comes strength
The meek inherit servitude to the strong
Out of the scattered wreckage
and sprawling waste
'Purity' is the watchword
whispered at barbed barricades
guarded by formless sentinels
and phantom regiments
Fire on the horizon
stepping in harmonious symmetry
shadow-clad sun-wheel legions
flesh-torn banners unfurled
Paradise regained
upon genocide daydreams
and holocaust memories
Cascading ashes
nestle in my nostrils
as I inhale the moldy scent
of hungry bonfires
consuming generations
From my turgid loins
spills a new race
dragging the rust and ruin
of extinct empires at their heels
This is my kingdom
erected upon the striped backs
of the righteous slaves
and Semite kings
blind wayfarers of narrow paths
and golden rules
In here the screams are louder
from the very beginning
cast away to wander
dark solitudes
and fractured horizons
Horrors countless and
infernal councils
waving leafs of parchment
bearing my shames
