Life As a Soundtrack
What defines you?
Is it one genre? One artist? One song?
Or is it a mixtape?
Do you pick the track to reflect your mood?
Or do you select the song to make you feel something?
How many times do you let it repeat?
Can you move on when it's been overplayed?
There comes a point were you must decide:
Do you keep listening to what you are comfortable with?
Or do you update your playlist?

Intresting view of life!I think most of of love to stick to the comfort(Holding on to that which is familiar) than update the playlist(Move on and venture into the adventures of the unknown) though long overdue!

This was a grand synopsis on the mode in which we all operate.
Whilst I have my favourite tracks, I'm always... forever updating my playlist.
Which is mostly reflective of the moods that wash over me on a daily basis.
Some tracks I can hit on repeat, whilst others, will come out... to be heard, and be replaced with something else that reflects my emotions.
It's all about my emotional state of being, which triggers my psyche.
Well done for capturing human behavior, so poetically...

Thanks Kate! That's a great song! It's cool how you can hear a song that you haven't listened to in years and remember exactly what was going on in your life when you first started listening to that song. :)

Love this--reminds me so much of high school and my mixtapes that defined me, that were the background scores of my life... I love your stuff - seemingly simple language yet very well-crafted. Thanks Mark!
