Time

Time, you're no friend of mine
You're either hot or cold
Roll the dice; which way will you blow?
Always thinking twice 'cause I never know

Anything you bring, you soon take from me
Good while it lasts 'till it's a thing of the past
Leave me haunted by memories that
Drag the depths of my disease

No, time, you're no friend of mine
Never know when it's right
Never know when it's wrong
Pass me by when I try holding tight
Linger on in the dark of night
No, time, you're no friend of mine

Try to own every minute
Be happy when I'm in it
But my apathy is killing me
How long can I stand
The demands of your hands

No, time, you're no friend of mine

Too little, too late
Time to take or time to wait
Too fast or too slow
Where to begin and where to go

None to borrow and none to waste
Jump in; you'll either sink or swim
But you won't get it again
The only choice we make is who we are in the end

No, time, you're no friend of mine
