Internal Debate

After such lack of control,
I have gained a potential for loss.
I can only hope it lasts.

Night appeared and then shut its door,
And my intake was zero
Just like before.
I can again be my own hero.

Now what has opened is a realm of possibilities.
Maybe I can go back
While still going forward.
This is the chance of redemption.

What has opened is doomed for failure.
Going forward,
I may go back.
Then this vicious cycle while imprison me again.

Light appeared and is struggling to sustain
As my priorities shift.
I cannot decipher if this is my brain,
And if I should take this as a gift.

After such control,
I have gained a potential for loss.
