Yeshua
The roar of a lion
Judah trembles
Bethlehem nurses a kingdom
in her supple bosom
Border lords smother their fires
and extinguish their dreams
Desert bards, prophets
and lunatic sages hibernate
amidst swollen dunes
Out of scorched earth
cometh the Locust King
in raiment's of sick cattle
and barefoot messiah daydreams
while murderous councils
mutiny with rancorous devils
in fluorescent skins
torn from disenfranchised priestesses
gone feral and starving
in orgasmic motions in slow frames
upon bleached and stretched fetal skins
like classic cinema
projected through stale cigarette smoke
New wine from fresh wounds
old covenants resurrected
stained with the beautiful
imperfections of blushing youth
Lepers, fiends, desolate whores
all trailing upon the heel
of a lone somnambulant star
Amidst stinking beasts
and steaming feces
a reluctant savior comes forth
upon virgin wings
and bastard credentials
All gods born reluctantly.
