The Illusionist
It was all an illusion
That cost me some restitution
It cost me some sorrow
That up to this very second
I still have to swallow
A tragedy that broke my hope
For tomorrow
You see I was done searching
But to you it couldn't be
But you always made me feel so free
So alive
Yet so dead at the end of time
My pride I swallowed
My tears that went untold
I smiled just to have your back
My choices brought me to this place
I don't blame you but its your face
I can't erase
Its your betrayal
The way you walked away
Your back towards me
Never to see again
I will pick up the pieces of my life
That were shattered
With no trace
Without your embrace
I will walk I will conquer a better place.
