A Dead Night to Live
Tonight we masquerade,
For a shadowed past's sake,
And believe in a date,
Hallowed on fate.
Portraying spirits,
With provoking lyrics,
At the height of penance,
Or so deemed by remembrance.
Yet mystery laced within,
An opportune evening to sin,
Interpret wrongs to whim,
And darkness chants it's hymn.
Under a reflection's beam,
The evening has a glint, or gleam,
Excitement in the phantom of death,
Seeking life from those who rest.
For a shadowed past's sake,
And believe in a date,
Hallowed on fate.
Portraying spirits,
With provoking lyrics,
At the height of penance,
Or so deemed by remembrance.
Yet mystery laced within,
An opportune evening to sin,
Interpret wrongs to whim,
And darkness chants it's hymn.
Under a reflection's beam,
The evening has a glint, or gleam,
Excitement in the phantom of death,
Seeking life from those who rest.
