Love Backward pt II (Unfinished)
So what did we end up becoming?
At first we were strands apart trying to find common grounds, lurking in the lie that we hardly care about each other,
There was pain and jealousy
There was smile and laughter
We didn't buy this boat, we built it like an old man with three sons
Stacking wood of each size to fit in the dimensions of our lives
Lifted the ark from nothing to something
People always wondered what kind of boat we were building
And alas when the final piece or so we thought was put in place,
You said I don't think you need me anymore, anymore?
I wanted us to feel stuffy together, paint interiors together
But you diverged to smile elsewhere leaving me gangrene to my own sadness
Eating my hands to keep pushing every good builder away
Blinding me to see the light of strength in others
And worst of all, pretending life is an accord one can handle alone.
In all of this I still ask myself: why did I trust you in the first place
