Little-Bit
This poem is for the 2 month old puppy that passed away in my arms last night.

Little-Bit
We Just had to call you Little-Bit
As you had not received your name yet
A tiny bundle of soft black fur
You touched our hearts, we will not forget
In your last hours shared upon this earth
You gave us love but unlike a pet
Your head lifted in response to us
Our thoughts and intents for you were set
There seemed so little any could do
Except to hold you and not to fret,
To give you love in both thought and deed
To comfort you and without regret
To be there no matter the outcome
So you would know we cared Little-Bit.
I love you little one, You'll see me again soon.
