Soldiers
Enemy lines beckon
to join the winning side
and it doesn't look so bad.
Because I'm tired,
and my weary bones
creak and shutter
under the weight of
a warzone.
And I am inclined to listen.

ww1, ww2 and war poems in general are great. I'm a big fan of Randall Jarrell. I like the build up on this to "maybe I should forget."
