Mother's Touch

There is nothing better than a mothers touch,
To kiss a boo-boo so that it may not hurt as much,
To have her put her arms around you tight,
Squeeze you and tell you that everything is going to be alright,
To have her reassurance when you awaken in the middle of the night,
Her long, soft hair hangs into your sleepy eyes,
Its smell is of the fresh air that blows on by,
Someone to be there when you begin to cry,
No one else compares to her, so why bother to try,
Someone to laugh at all of your silly jokes,
And when your sick, she always has the perfect antidote,
Mothers by far are the next best thing,
To hear her beautiful voice in the morning when she begins to sing,
This poem is for all of the wonderful mothers that exist,
Without you here, we sure would all miss,
This has been written from a small child's point of view,
To honor both m and you!
