A little girl's poetry

You say my poems are good,
I'm afraid you've misunderstood.

I don't write for you.
I don't even write for me.
I write for poet inside to be set free.

There once was a little girl,
who was told she good.
But life then destroyed it,
as suspected it would.

This little girl.
She once believed.
Believed that poems could set your soul free,
and you could be, how you truly wanted to be.
That little girl,
used to be me.
