Icicle Child
O, Icicle Child
Begone from my sight
With skin so pale and sallow
It pains my eyes to behold!
Such an abomination should be hidden
Far, far away from one as beautiful
and glorious as I!
Dear Mother, please...
Won't you give me love?
Hold me when the night grows cold?
Show me the kindness of your soul?
Dear Mother, please...
O, Icicle Child
Begone from my sight
With clothes unclean and ragged
It pains my eyes to behold!
Such a travesty should be banished
Far, far away from one was ravishing
and wonderful as I!
Dear Mother, please...
Won't you share your plate?
Comfort me when my belly aches?
Show me the generosity of your heart?
Dear Mother, please...
O, Icicle Child
Begone from my sight
With hair so wild and bedraggled
It pains my eyes to behold!
Such aberration of nature should be hidden
Far, far away from one as desirable
and magnificent as I!
Dear Mother, please...
Won't you scrub me clean?
Caress my cheek when I am sad?
Show me the selflessness of your mind?
Dear Mother, please...
O, Icicle Child
I have heard enough of your pleas
and my answer remains the same!
Now begone from here!
Just leave me be!
I'll have no more of such distraction!
One as perfect and marvelous as I
Has no time to waste on such childish and trivial matters!
Now be hidden far, far away and be done
With your selfish begging ways!
Dear Mother, why...?
You've sealed my fate.
A cold, hard grave for me.
You've given no love
And given no comfort
And given no happiness to me.
You've left me in pain
And weak in extreme
And visibly close to death.
You've left me cold,
My heart frozen over,
Your love kept locked away.
I shall begone,
I shall leave you be,
To embrace the chill of death.
An Icicle Child forevermore.
